Correspondence [manuscript]. 1931-1950.

Approximately 80 letters written by Donald Friend to Donald Murray. They were written from London, Florence, Ikere, Singapore, Cairns, Albury and Elizabeth Bay. The letters are filled with accounts of emotions; various events; exhibitions; books read; people Friend met at the parties he attended; paintings completed; letters received; descriptions of people and their surroundings; Friend's attitudes towards his lovers; and Friend's homesickness for Hill End. Also included are three letters from "Joy", Compagnie du Selangor and Murray himself.
